Detachable collar \/ breastplate with three pass through connections (for air and communication hoses). Wing nuts and brackets around the collar for attachment to the diving suit. Unfortunately the oval maker's plate with the possible manufacturer's name is no longer legible due to wear.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe object is in authentic condition, with patina and signs of use in keeping with its age. Many diving helmets of this era have dents on top, because military or commercial divers often worked under ship hulls or other structures and bumped their heads.
